Hi,
I have configured Data Guard setup on same machine just for testing purpose, when I queried for SWITCHOVER_STATUS it is showing SESSION ACTIVE for both Primary and Standby DB, but I am still able to switchover from Primary to Standby.
Can anyone tell me the reason for the same? Confused

its not possible to switchover untill the switchover_status column value is TO STANDBY. Sessions Active means, there are some sql statements running, probably insert or update. Try to stop them if any and try
