Do you really want to create a database, or do you, actually, have a schema in mind? Reading your message, I got a feeling that you'd like to create some tables, constraints, indexes, functions, procedures, insert some data, create a form or two, write several reports etc. If that's your goal, you are NOT looking for the CREATE DATABASE statement but CREATE USER one (which will be followed by other DDL and DML commands).

Thanks, I want to create a totally new database with some schema in mind. After that I'd like to create some tables, constraints, indexes, functions, procedures, insert some data, create a form or two, write several reports etc, as mentioned by you.
Thanks in advance.....

Oh well, in that case, either /forum/fa/1681/0/ (as Michel suggested) or here; whichever you prefer.

Do return and ask if you have a question about a specific problem. Your question - at the moment - is simply too wide.
