When comparing schema's from two different databases I get a list of columns which apparently differs in datatype.
But a describe of the owning table both sides shows the same datatype: both sides are CLOB or both sides are BLOB.
Only difference between these two schema's is the database they reside in: 10.1 or 10.2.

Anyone else encountered this nagging "feature"?

Hmmm, have to correct myself on this one Embarassed

It's not only TOAD that show differences.
Apparently the data_length of the BLOB and CLOB columns are different!

In one database data_length shows 4000 for each CLOB and BLOB column (what looks like the proper default).
But in the odd-one-out database it show 86!

Apparently this has to do with the option ENABLE/DISABLE STORAGE IN ROW.

So, bottomline, the DBA made some correction on the scripts we provided without letting us know Mad Razz
