Hi,
I am updrading My oracle 8i setup to Oracle 9i in the Windows operaton System.During the upgradation in the Database upgrade Assistant,The installer asked for the system authetication for upgrading the existing database. After proving the Username and password i am getting an error as ORA-12560:TNS protocol adapter Error .I have already started the OracleOraHome81TNSListener and OracleOraHome9iTNSListener as well as OracleService<databasename> from services. But still i am getting the same error.
Please help me about what do I need to modify.

Thanks in Advance,
brad

I guess this post proves I've gone senile.
It has been more than a decade since I dealt with V8 Oracle, but I don't recall EVER needing SQL*Net to complete any upgrade.

Post the results by using CUT & PASTE from opening a COMMAND window & doing:
SET
