Can anyone tel me the exact difference between View & Materialized View & Database.

As per my knowledge,

View has a virtual storage. Are used for security purpose,
like to view only the data from table to which users have permission to access.
Can we use Views over Remote databases?

Materialized View gets actually stored in the database.
These are generally used for Remote databases.
Does it's refresh action is advantageous for their use over view.

Database is a huge collection or storage of data.

When to use Views & when to use MV?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Prachi

Just like Michel once said, "what is the difference between car and a boat"? It would take too much time and space for someone to explain it. That's why Documentation exists; read it, learn every term you are interested in and then you'll be able to tell the difference by yourself.

In my country, boats do have tyres. How many? It depends on boat size.

Car has 4 TIRES Boat got none Wink Razz

So, basically you say "Take the tires of your car and you have a boat"
