I was able to install Dev10g on Vista, and was able to run a Form in Firefox.

However, with Reports, I encountered a problem. I was able to run a Report on "paper layout" only but not on "web layout". The error mesg was "ERROR: Failed to locate the browser. Try connecting again...", even if a new window of Firefox was opened by the Report. Do you have an idea why this error occurred? Is there a fix for this?

Btw, I am aware that Dev10g is not certified for Vista. I'm just trying it out, trying to learn Smile So errors such as what I've encountered may have no solution at all. I'm prepared for that.

I have Windows XP and I'm experiencing the same problem. I'd truly appreciate anyone's insight on this, because I need to have my report running and linked with my form.

Thanks!

I did look at this. It didn't help me much, but it might help you kwaam_rak.

I am running Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 and facing the same problem.

The firefox browser opens up and still I get the same message - "Failed to locate the browser."

I'll appreciate if you share your findings on this.
