Hi All,

All the future Oracle Fusion applications is based on Jdeveloper and BPEL.To learn Jdeveloper what are the prerequisites? One of my friend suggested knowledge of Core Java and JSP is enough, to start learning Jdeveloper. Is it enough or should i have to learn EJB's,Struts etc.. for knowing Jdeveloper. Please suggest me.

JDeveloper has a vast variety of uses right from modeling and design, development to deployment and testing. It depends on what you want to learn it for.

As a beginner, the essential prerequisites to understanding your way around JDeveloper are the basics of:
- Object-oriented design
- Java programming
- J2EE architecture

Some of the desired prerequisites are:
- UML: If you want to use JDeveloper for modeling
- JSP/Servlets
- Any MVC Framework: Since you mention Oracle Fusion, ADF is the one you should go for
- SOA: If you want to learn how to use BPEL Designer. And if so, knowing XML is a plus too.
