We are about to buy some servers to run oracle database on for a small web application. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or any benchmarks that can show if oracle database 10g might run better on an the latest intel dual core based chip vs the latest dual core opteron. it will be a 4 socket server.
Any help is appreciated. thanks.

Yes I did check there but wanted to ask the question to see if anybody had any experiences first hand or had performed any real world tests. Thanks for your reply.
