you can check alert.log on standby to see what logs are being applied and that should give you idea of whats being updated and how far your standby is.


you can also check v$log_history to get further details.

you can also check the v$archived log with

select sequence#, applied from v$archived_log;

on the standby sysstem you should typically see a "YES" for all sequence numbers which have been archived.
