i have used a DVG for entering a year value. but unfortunately the sequence number doesnt match the value column - for eg - for seq no 1, value field - 1960, long value - 1960. now when i want to enter the year field - i cant jus type 1960 ( as it takes it as a sequence number rather than the value field as i intended it to be). is there anyway we can specify either at the dvg or in the question group to accept the value rather than the seq number.

May be it is a little late but wanted to give you the solution. By this time you might have already known that there is a flag in the DVG maintanance screen that says "Enter by Seq?", if you uncheck this you can enter data using the DVG value.
