Hello,

I successfully installed Oracle 19g r2 on a computer running redhat4 32bits using the installation guide.
But when repeating it on a rehat 4 64 bits the installation can not complete. I having list of errors as "error in invoking target <name> of makefile <name2>, Where name is a sort of 'Client_Sharedlib' an many others andt name2 is a directory name + filename.
Can somebody help a general procedure to install on 64bts machine.
I assume the general procedure could work because I using the latest release of linux and Oracle.

Thank'

Hugues

Then I must be dreaming, because I have V10.2 on multiple 64-bit systems.

hi,
i bet could be caused by missing software (ie: not installed when prepare the o/s for that machine or you eventually didnt install/add the required rhel software as stated in oracle installation doc)
even with the exact error msg, i can't say which rhel software you missed. you may, if possible redo rhel installation. select these packages: desktop [x win, gnome], development [dev tools], system [compatibility arch support]. before installing oracle, check the required rhel software - add if they're missing.
