My org uses Oracle 8i on Solaris 2.8 now but we soon plan to move to Solaris 10. Does Oracle 8i work on Solaris 10 or do we need to upgrade to 10g?

Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Rather upgrade to Oracle 10g as well.

Oracle 8i is already desupported. It may still work on Solaris 10, but do you really want to accept the associated risks?

Best regards.

Hello,
does you have an answer to this?
Have you run ora8i on solaris 10 or do you have upgrade to 10G?
We need to transfer old applications running in 8i and can't upgrade to 9i or 10g.
Any information is welcome.
