Hi,

after installing Oracle 10g and the development suite and after successfully creating a repository by using the sql scripting method I'm not able to start the OWB Repository Assistent. I get the errormessage

INS0003: OWB-Repository-Installation cannot be continued without DBA-privileges. Logon as DBA and use Create New Warehouse Builder Repository to continue.

I tried using sys and repos_manager to login, but none of them works. Connection data is correct, if I change something there I get a "unable to connect to database" error.

Can somebody help me?

Tobias

It's perhaps BUG 4537766.

Are you using 10g Release 2?

I'm using:
Oracle Databse 10g 10.2.0.1.0
Oracle DevSuite 10g 10.1.2.0.2
Oracle OWB 10g 10.1.0.2.0

That's database Oracle 10g release 2 allright. I'm afraid OWB 10.1.0.2.0 isn't certified for 10g R2. Apply patch 4703215 which will upgrade your OWB to 10.1.0.4.

both bug information and patch can be viewed/downloaded from Oracle's official support site, called MetaLink. Unfortunately, this site is payable and only accessible if you have official Oracle support.
