hi,

Let me tell you the scenario here.

They have Multi Master Replication going on between 3 servers.

The servers are located in JOHANNESBURG , FRANKFURT and LOS ANGELS ( LAX ).

Now the problem is slow response in JOHANNESBURG server.

To my knowledge it is doing 100% cpu ( 2 cpu’s ).

Also there is a high disk I/O

There is logical volume manager installed and it is a SAN Storage.

Would like to have your opinion on this issue.

How should i go for tunning....?

As far as I know normal CPU workload should be about 80%.

As long as you have 3 servers try to understand a difference?
May be it's HW difference, may be data amount.
What about Network configuration in JOHANNESBURG?

hi,
Oracle is using 100% cpu it must use 80% tell me what i should do to make cpu utilisation 80%?

It's depend on what your CPU doing.
You shuld be analyzing CPU activities.
At first you can look on top wait event by Performance monitor.
Then investigate Top SQL report.
At last use the statspack and you'll se what is going on in details.

In any cases performance improvement is process.
It takes some time...

Might want to check on the sessions, and the queries they are executing.
It might be a simple mistake, which is making the code run in an infinite loop (Usually these are culprits for 100% cpu usage).
