Change a label dynamically in Oracle Reports? [message #135074] Mon, 29 August 2005 15:33

I have a report that has, say, 3 columns, and each column represents a two-week time period. I've set up a table that the report uses so that the column names for pulling the data remain constant (i.e. no report changes). But, what's throwing me is changing the label of the column in the report - I'd want to be able to pull the label name from the database (say, 08/05/2005, 08/19/2005, etc.). But, I can't seem to get it to work. I get the "below its group" error. And yet, all I want is the label to change so that I woudn't have to change the report every time I run it.

I'm sure this is a common thing to do, but I'm stuck, or just not thinking along the correct lines.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve
