Well, the easiest way to do this is with a front-end form. What environment are you running?

You generate a parameter list on the Forms side, pass the values to reports, and reports uses these values to filter data, group data, etc. You would need lexical parameters to accomplish this.

The way I did this was not to have different variations in separate files, but have the variations within the same RDF and suppress/allow with a format trigger over the outermost frame of the different variations.

HTH,
Steve

Hi,

You can use the lexical parameters in your query to resolve your issue. Pass the parameter value dynamically from your front end form.Don't dispaly the grouping field(Param1) in the report layout.

Please look at the below picture. Hope this will be helpful to you.

Hi,

I uploadaed my sample data modell.(datamodell.bmp)
/forum/fa/178/0/

I have 3 groups (g_torzsszam, g_vberk_gszf_szakfkod, g_vberk_tema_temaazon).
I have to variable their sequence order in the layaout modell.
My user will determine this sequence.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you please provide some more input?

All the three goup names will be dynamic? How the user is selecting the groups in your front end?

can you please paste the sql also.

Bye,
G.S

Hi,

I didn't understand your solving at first,
but It's a very good idea.
I will make 3 lexical parameters and 3 group for them.

In my front-end the user will order the groups.

Thanks&Regards

Hi,

You are right. You can create 3 lexical parameters and pass the values dynamically. Hope this can sove your problem.

That's cool! I didn't know you could upload snapshots! That makes this whole thing a lot easier!

Thanks!

Hi,

Can i skip the third group in the same report?
It would be a new choice to our users.

Hi,

Can you please try with format trigger in the layout. I think you can.
