Memory Usage on AIX with 9i [message #117353]

I'm running 9.2 on our AIX 5.2 box with 4GB of memory. The free memory is consistently less than 1%. I adjusted the SGA parameters down hoping this would free up memory, but it did not change a thing. Is this normal or is it somthing within Oracle that is not configured correctly?

I'd check on metalink.oracle.com for memory checking scripts - there are different ways to add up Oracle mem usage on different O/S
