Hello,

we havelink o.s, with LAN environment and my system is win-2000 my friends are disturbing me by sending message using "net send" command.

How can i stop their messages.

Also give me detail of command, either it is a linux or LAN command

After one year Mike answer your post. And after 7 years I like to answer you. Go to command prompt and use,
net stop messenger

It will eventually work if your messenger service is manual. Otherwise if it set to automatic then you have to right click on my computer->then manager-> go to services and find messenger and make its status disable.

Have not verified it as I don't have windows OS now.
