Hi all,

I am using 32bit HP Unix 11i for my oracle8i(81.1.7). Now can i use the same 32bit OS for installing Oracle9i on HP Unix 11i.

Or

Should i use 64-bit (is it a must ?). Please do answer me - urgent.

Is there oracle9i s/w for 32-bit OS on HP Unix 11i.

Thanks
Gautam

32 bit Oracle runs on both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of your OS. 64 bit Oracle will only run on a 64 bit OS. From what I've read - there is NO performance advantage to running 64 bit (I think I even read that it is slightly slower on Solaris??)
