I am currently running Oracle on Windows NT. We may be moving to UNIX. I have been asked the question "If running Oracle on a Unix box what should we be using -64 bit or 32 bit?" Can anybody shed light on this?

Probably there is no simple answer to this. We
are using 64Bit RS/6000 with AIX BUT using 32
bit Oracle - as it seems to work better.

The main points to ask, and research : Which
UNIX; What Hardware : How does it work for
others: and what is thw maximum size of your
databases - although this last is probably not
much of a cosideration, unless you really are
into the 100 Terrabytes.
cheers
