Hi,

I'm relatively new to using OWB (9.0.4) and I have a problem that I don't know how to solve: my client has data dictionaries in various text files as outputted from DB2 and other mainframe sources. Is there a way to use OWB to import these into usable structures?

Here is a sample structure of a data dictionary:

TABLE MANUAL 5.0H REL.: 06/23/04 XXXA -001 1
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TABLE DOCUMENTATION

G/L A-SEGMENT

TABLE STRUCTURE

FIELD KEY TY. LN OFFS DOMAIN TEXT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1111A RECL 2 00000 SEGLN MAXIMUM SEGMENT LENGTH
11112A NUM 2 00002 RCFVS FIELD RESERVED FOR VSAM INFORMATION
23IDA SGID 2 00004 SEGID SEGMENT TYPE
.....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALLOCATION OF TABLE TO COMPONENT

191 RS - GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTS
403 RK - PRIMARY COST DATA ENTRY
700 PERSONNEL
.....

various descriptions listed below for each table type
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks in advance,
