how to have a global variable in oracle reports or any way to achieve global access of data??

im currently creating one report in oracle reports 6i and am having problem of not getting the value of previous page in next page?ie i have placed a placeholder to hold the value of some formula column and it showing some error while compiling?

Hi,

using placeholders in place of global variables is right. but can u pls tell me, what compilation error u get??
