Can i know which is the better one among these two given below with specific reasons...

1.  Writing one query is the best thing to retrieve data regarding performance

(or)

2.  Writing two queries is the best thing to retrieve data regarding performance

Can u plz mention me the advantages and disadvantages for using these.

Plz do reply me back which is the best solution.....

writing a single query is most efficient bcos it will access the database only once.more queries more no of times it has 2 access the DB so less faster the performance
