dear all
i have a query. i have a table like that...

field datatype
empcode number(6)
itime varchar2(20)
otime varchar2(20)

inputs are as:
100000 (his employee code)
12-mon-2003 9:20:30 a.m (his time in)
12-mon-2003 8:23:22 p.m (his time out)
note : (the working hourse of that employee is 8 hrs)

if that employee cannot perform his time out after the required 8 hours. i want to automatically time out..the system checks that if the the 8 hrs are complete then autometically system perform his out time..it is possible/
