Hello guys,
i have a package having a ref cursor which select number of data from different views .. my select statement is having 3000 lines of codes.. now when i call this package with in my report 6i it gets compiled properly but when i run the reports it gives me
this error
rep0065 - virtual memory system error
and rep 0020 - unable to allocate memory cavaa 22

can any body help me how to rectify this problem..

Hi,
REF CURSOR in Reports is a very useful and tempting feature. But the bad news is that in 99.99% of the cases it does not work. There are lottsa bugs that Oracle has still to fix.
So try other alternatives if u have any.

Hi Shrikanth,
I had been struggling with the same issue for the past 2 days. I contacted Oracle and according to Oracle this is a bug in report builder which is not yet fixed.
If you want I can send you some material on this issue.
Try some alternatives, if u have (like lexical params...)
