Does anyone has an idea? We made an update of our oracle database from 7.x to oracle 9i. Our gui was running with forms 4.5 and got an update to forms 6. We didn't change anything in our application or datastructures. Oracle 7x was running on a IBM 6H1 with two processors and 4 GB RAM. The new 9i server was a SUN V880 with 6 Processors and 12 GB RAM. It was a one to one migration. All database parameters are correct ( it was checked by different oracle professionals internaly and externaly) Oracle Client 8.x is installed on our client. We use VPN over Internet (German DSL lines, with 2M/bit downstream and 384 k/bit upstream). And now our problems: after the migration to forms 6i our performance from our external site was going down by nearly 40 percent. We had checked Database, the WAN connection to our nearly 100 sites all over Germany and our LANs more than one time. Does anyone has an idea?
