develepor 2000: i want to browse thru the file systems on my hard drive, select a file and save it in oracle 7.3 thru form. how should i go about it??? read_image_file wants a file to be pre selected. i want to have a dialogue box as the one for Open file.

Hi,
As per your post is seems that you already know how to Read & write an Image file.
So let come to the solution for your requirement.
This can be resolved by making use of D2KWUTIL.pll.
Make use of function Open_file which is a part of Package WIN_API_DIALOG in the above mentioedn PLL file.
