We use sql net easy configuraiton for establishing database link between clint and server.
Is it the only option to establish the link??
Actually i have installed forms 61 on win98 machine
(earlier forms 4.5 was installed on it)
It had started giving illegal operation error (for JRE)
So i had removed (un-installed) JRE and then try running net easy configuration..but it does not run at all.
So i want to know....is there any other way to establish the connectivity of client with server?

You have a file called TNSNAMES.ORA which stores your Net8 Configuration details. you can edit the File to make new connec strings.
Path: D2KHomeDirectory/Network/Admin/Tnsnames.ora
