Hello All
I am having problem with getting the SQL*Form fmx
running over the Web ; The following are the steps
i carrid out. If someone can help me on this i
shall be thankful.
- Installed forms server
- ensured ifsrv60.exe and ifweb60.exe are running
- Made sure that in control panel services are enabled
and current
- Configured TNS
- Edited formsweb.cfg as per the required parameters
- Reboot
- cd %FORMS_SERVER%jinit/js
I observed that JInitiator 1.1.8.6 is installed
with Forms Server 6i
- DClick jinit_download.htm and download
save jinit.exe to either %FORMS_SERVER% OR %FORMS_SERVER%server dir
Edit formsweb.cfg after backing up
restart forms server
(At this stage what i don't understand is why the
pdf file asks one to go ahead and change the
basejini.htm (cut and paste the OBJECT/EMBED TAGS)
and copy it to the forms server directory. It also
asks to copy the jinit.exe. These steps may not
be needed if JInitiator is installed and the HTML
modified to use JInitiator). However i double
clicked the %FORMS_SERVER%server/basejini.htm
and installed it.
Problem 1:
Besides i embedded the tags in base.htm and double
clicked it. It does not show the screen.
Problem 2: How do i confirm that the Web Listener
is running (ifweb60.exe runs); If i install Apache,
configure it for port 9000 and start it followed
by Starting of Forms Server , it says Port in use.
If i stop Apache (or point to 80, start , stop)
and start Forms Server it gets started fine.
However none of the following invoke any respose.
a) http://localhost:9000
b) http://localhost
c) http://server:9000
d) http://server.domain:9000
If i try to run the default runform shortcut for
running a form on the web by passing userid , pw
, server (with or without domain) and port 9000
too i dont get the damn thing run.
What is wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.
