hi
i have designed a check box item on a non database block for providing the option to change the case sensetivity of the field(name of the employee) in the form.the default value is checkd.but when i am running the form neither i am geting the field in upper case nor i am able to uncheck it.it generates an error frm 40200 field protected against update. i have checkd the update allowed property that is yes.
i would b realy thankful if somebody can provide me the sol.

check your block settings or pl/sql-code.
seems to me that there is an update allowed false property has been set

specify value when checked anbd value when unchecked in the properties of chkbox and give it a initial value
