hi,
plz tell me when we install our oracle and developer. then sometime it will not connect through Developer. plz tell me how can we connect the database.

After installing Developer go to Programs in that u will find Oracle for Windows NTOracle Net8 Easy Config. Go to this option it will guide u to configure ur TNS names for Developer.Choose Add new service and give any name u want.Next choose TCP/IP.Next enter host name which is ur machine name.Next Database SID which u gave to ur Database during its creation.Next click Test Service and enter username/password to test.
If ur Net8 config does not work then u can straight away go to Drive:<Oracle DIR>NET80ADMIN and open file TNSnames.Ora with notepad.U will find one option similar to this in ur one of ur section.Change it according to ur config.
