How to capture the request id after a report is complete?

hello
I am running a report trough the apps and Iam wondering how I can capture the request id of the report? please note that I know where the request id is at , the problem is how I can get it as soon as the program completes so that I can copy the output(the req id) of the report to another directroy , the report is designed in developer 2000(6i).Your help would be very appreciated.
