Hi experts,

I just want to know ,what is data migration? and
How data migration is done? by taking the example of
forms4.5 to 6i.
Please provide a website address whereby i can get complete information.

DATA migration is: 1. pulling the data out of a data source (eventually leaving the original data there and 2. putting it in another data source. It has *nothing* to do with Forms.

In Oracle, the easiest way is using the Oracle provided EXPORT/IMPORT utilities.

The Oracle online docs can provide you more info. If you search this forums you most probably will find more info.
