hi anju,
You can use youe code in KEY_NEXT_ITEM trigger instead. It will surely work. Key Enter works just after pre_text_item provided you have navigated through key board.

Thanks Sujit,
but key-next-item also works when we hit tab. I want to use tab to go to next item and enter to execute submit button. do you understand what i mean to say?
as oracle logon form works, tab to go to next otem and enter execute submit button.

hi anju,
If you mean that you want to fire a trigger as soon as you enter the field then you can use PRE_TEXT_ITEM instead. Hope this helps.

Hi Anju,
You want your trigger to fire just as you enter a item. So you have to write it in Pre_text_item of that item. for ex. say i want some login button to be enabled when i enter the password field,, in this case i will write the code on the PRE_TEXT_ITEM of the password field, SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('block_name.item_name',Enabled,Property_true).

If you want to check the validity of the item (password field) before enabling next item (go button). You write the code in KEY_NEXT_ITEM trigger of (say password field) that item.
Regards..
