Hi,
I have oracle 9i installed & have just installed Dev suite 9.2. I then created a sample db .sql file & then opened up Form builder & selected a .fmb file via fileopen & then complied the module. It then asked me if i wanted to log on, if i say yes, i enter the default name/password - scott/tiger, but then it asks for a database, if i leave it blank it states that "ora-12560: tns:protocol adapter error" & if i put the db name i entered at installation i get "ora-12154: tns:could not resolve service name" What am i doing wrong & how can i resolve it. Please bare in mind im a novice.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You need to include the database name in your tnsnames.ora file which should be found in the C:Orant9inetworkadmin directory.

If you have installed oracle db before Dev Suite 9.2 ,
just replaced
" E:Devsuitenetworkadmintnsnames.ora "
from this
" E:oracle92networkadmintnsnames.ora "
both files content should be identical .
it will definitly solve the problem .
