retrieving Blob columns using forms 6.0 [message #81065]

i am able to store my customer's id,signature (.gif file format) in the database using one Blob column. but this is becoming overhead on the database. so i want to store id & .gif file path in a table and .gif file on UNIX file system and access from the client.
can anybody help me?

This is called a bfile. Read the Oracle documentation on how to store a bfile.
