Hello, after upgrade the Oracle to 9i, my TOAD 7.1 cannot connect to Oracle 9i. Ummm, actually, it can connect to 9i, but it always prompt the "ORA-01026: multiple buffers of size > 4000 in the bind list" error message. Although it can show the tablenames in the object browser, but it can not do anything further.

Please help me !!!

Thanks in advance.

Have you installed Oracle9i in UTF8 characterset? ... in which case just make sure you set your client nls_lang settings (in the registry!) to american_america.utf8 !

I have the same problem. My database is UTF8 and my NLS_LANG setting is American_America.UTF8. You do get fewer ORA-01026 errors if you connect as the table owner.

The feeling here is that you don't want to set the characterset in the registry to utf8 unless your client is in fact using that characterset. You may end up corrupting your data. The best advise is to upgrade your version of TOAD to the latest available version.
