Hi ,
Can anyone tell me whether can we install Forms 6i and Forms 4.5 on the same machine, under a different directory and home. Forms 4.5 is already installed on Windows NT server. I have applications using forms 4.5 running on windows NT server. The database is running on a Unix machine. If i install under different homes, how to make the registory settings. I need to run applications which need to use forms 4.5 as well. I cannot fully shift to Forms 6i at once.
Is this possible...??

yes u can, just use different home for form6i.all the reg. setting will be done automatically. try installing , if u have anu problem then discuss

After installing in different Homes, can i run applications using 4.5 and 6i on the same windows Nt terminal. I know the default registory seeting wil be done automaticaly under the home u install, but i wanted to know about the registory setting for PLL's and other refernce items.

yes, u can run both application from same terminal, i am doing the same for last one year. u first install the form6i in diff. home , once u are done let me know, i will send all the variable that are to be set.

these are the basic settings, as u have done these in 4.5 ,i am explaining why these are to be set and what are the value

I have created one view from four tables and I have create the block of this view. Now after running the form I want to manipulate the data of one particular item But during commit this is giving the error unable to update the record Error number � 40509.
But at sql level it is updating the record very well from view.

Is there any change required at form level to manipulate data if block is made from view.
