Is it possible to connect to a db2 udb database from within oracle developer?.If so, can someone please guide me through the required steps?.

yes it is possible.
I have tested it with DB2 UDB 7.2 and Forms 6i Rel 2.You need to have Open Client Adapter installed.While connecting you have to say ODBC:XXX in the connection box.
Where XXX is the ODBC database name.
For OCA to work properly you need apply the latest ServicePack.
You could even call the back-end stored procs from Forms.

hi praveen
I am Srikrishnan, i read to ur message reg the abve can u please help me to connect D2k to DB2.
I had already done the following steps.
1. DB2 is installed
2. IBM Driver Connected with Data Base Name
3. In D2k Trying to connect with user id/passward@ODBC:ODBC name.
4. Error Message TNS Failure. Can u please verify the above and tell me the steps.
Can u please guide me what is OCA how to connect with?
