We are running a Web Portal using 9iAS release 1 and are limited by the lack of features that have been added in the subsequent releases of AS. Does anyone here have any experience in migrating to 9iAS r2 or 10g? Which way should we go? Is it better to go straight to the new 10g (Windows- only just released) or just move to Release2 where there is more support? Anyone to put forward their opinions??

Hi,

I'm not an iAS expert, but from what I've seen, I
would go straight to 10g (9.0.4) and skip 9i
(9.0.2/3) completely. iAS 10g is much simpler to
install and manage, support all the latest and
greatest standards, does not require so many patches,
and seems to be quite stable.

Best regard.
