Hi,

I have a production database and development database.  Few queries are running in development database, but getting hanged in the prodcution.

Production DB is in Archieve Mode where as development is in Non-Archive Mode.  Will this affect for runninig the Select Queries.

Thanks in advacne for your help

hi
Archive log running should not affect performance and indeed it is to be encouraged in a production environment however, there are rules for placement of the archive files as with the rest of the datafiles. If you adhere to these and also gather statistics then in general you will be okay

cheers
