While inserting data, some tables are getting locked for a significant duration. I think this is for over indexing on those tables. If I use NO_INDEX hint with INSERT statement, whether the locking contention would be improved. Thanks in advance.

Try disabling all the foreign key constraints, and later enable them.

Hope this will make your instertions a bit faster.
