My Personal Database in oracle did not have a Password. Now it is asking for a password. I have not set any. Any idea how to overcome this problem.

How are you trying to login
- as sysdba
- as sysoper
- or as Normal user

If u forget the pwd for Sys u have to recreate the pwd file.

If u forget the Normal user pwd u can change it by login as sysdba
using
Alter user username identified by new pwd
