Hi,

How can I create and manage standby database for Oracle9i standard edition?

Data Guard Broker is not available for this version.

Could someone point me to detailed documentation for standby configuration for standard edition.

Thanks and Regards,
Jitendra Agrawal.

Hi all,

No replies to my earlier question? It can't be done or what?

I think even if I don't have data guard broker, I can use the method used in 8i. Any pointers would be highly appreicated..

Thanks and Regards,
Jitendra Agrawal.

u can create standby database without using dataguard.
by using oracle streams.
We have used oracle enterprise edition to achieve this goal.

source database was located in europe
and stand by/replica database was located in India.

if updates or deletes takes place to source database tables it was automatically reflected in target database.
