hi all,
I installed first oracle database Express 11g and then installed plsql developer 9.
when run plsql developer in login page section database have 'XE'
but after install developer suite 10g,in login page of plsql developer,database section not have 'XE'.
why?

PL/SQL Developer is not an Oracle product. Some people here may know how to configure it with a database connection, but you might get faster response if you go to the product's support site.

I think you have to search in the former installation a file name tnsnames.ora and copy it in the new installation directory.

thanks ok,solved.
plsql developer connected but form builder not connect.
In connect page(form builder) i enter User Name:sys,password:....,Database:XE but when click connect button show error :
ORA-12154:TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified.
why?

I first install oracle express 11g and copy tnsnames.ora file.then install developer suite and paste tnsnames.ora!
your previous post,where is it?
Please help me.
What form builder 10g connect to the database XE?

It also must have a tnsnames.ora in its home.

yes,in home oracle developer suite have a tnsnames.ora that no diffrent contents....
What can I do?

I prefer using TNS_ADMIN environment variable which points to a single TNSNAMES.ORA file, and maintain all databases I connect to within that TNSNAMES.ORA. See this message in "TNS admin method" topic.
