Today I sat more OCP exams: 3.5 hours on the advanced DB admin beta http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=5001&get_params=p_exam_id:1Z0-063 3 hours on the performance tuning beta http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=5001&get_params=p_exam_id:%201Z0-064
I would say that looking at the exams as a whole, there is a huge improvement over the 10g and 11g equivalents. The new exams cover a lot more material in a lot greater detail, and are a lot harder. These 12c exams are a Good Thing for the profession. They should filter out a lot of exam-cram only DBAs
Looking at questions in detail, there are problems. The English is sometimes poor. I suspect that they are now developed in Bangalore not California (I almost expected to see words like "crore" and "upgradation") which is not a problem for many people, but will be for some. And, as with all the betas, there are problems with questions and answers that do not make sense. The beta process should remove these issues.

If you are interested, get them booked now - the beta period (when they are cheap) does not have long to run. They are a reasonable test of whether you really know what you are talking about.

Enjoy!
