Hi,

I have a RAC(2 nodes) 11gR2. Both nodes are configured with TDPO and we are backup to tape TSM.
On TSM server scan name is configured..And It is tested that backup from node A can be restored on node B.

Now we have a test environment and TDPO is configured with scan name to TSM server. But we are unable to restore the RMAN backup to our new test environment...
error
RMAN-03002
RMAN-06172
no autobackup found...
Please help me if I can do something of TSM Server or Oracle Server.

Regards,

No problem, do it, just configure TDPO in the new server.

ok I did restore ...
But how much I can recover...

Second question I restore controlfile which is old so further archivelog backups are not catalog in controlfile which I restore from backup.
Now how to catalog backup which are not in controlfile catalog from tsm server.

1/ You have not to care, RMAN will
2/ Use CATALOG statement.

I don't know.
1/ Read CATALOG command in RMAN documentation
2/ Read your TDPO documentation

Thanks,
Now I am able to recover from tsm and I can catalog from tsm..
Well
Now I am able to restore/rcover using until SCN and until SEQUENCE...
I can use RMAN>list backup of archivelog all;
From output I can determine the SCN and Sequence..
But How can I restore/recover using until time My concern is How can I determine the point of time from avaliable backup.

I don't understand the question "list" also gives you the times.
Also please post the command you executed to catalog, restore and recover from TSM so it will be helpful for future readers.
