i have two database on my two different different host,

on my first node i install oracle " Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0"

and on my another node i install 11.2.0.1.0 ,

i want to use this 10g rman backup file and restore it on this 11g ,

means i want to upgrade this my 10g dataabase to 11g database using this rman.

can you suggest me some steps how can i upgrade it using rman backup file.

i not create database on 11g host just only software i install.

You cannot, you have to restore with the same version than you have backed up.
So either you first upgrade in 11.2 and then backup/restore in 11.2, either you backup/restore in 10.2 and then upgrade in 11.2.

Because that's not how it works.

The backup is a backup of the PHYSICAL files that make up the database. And the internal structure of those files is very much version specific. You cannot simply take the files from one version and open them in another version.
