Why not just have the "validate from list" property set to YES?
I am guessing that people are entering values that are not present in the LOV. The previous mentioned property will fix that.

It didn't help to solve my problem.
I can still input text into field.

Why do you need to stop text input?

Why do you need to stop text input?

Because LOV returns two values from Set of values. First value is key and hidden. Second value, which users choose and can see is only description. Second value on canvas should be forbiden for editing by a keyboard.

Sounds like you need a list item, not an LOV then.
list items display one value and store another.

Simple make all you text item into a display item and put a push button beside each display item that will show relative item's love when clicked.
