Dear all,
I got this error when try to connect to the database using discover administrator or user edition

ora - 02248 : invalid option for ALTER SESSION


N.B i can connect to the database with sqlplus with no problem


so please help

ORA-02248: invalid option for ALTER SESSION
 *Cause: Obvious.
 *Action:  see SQL Language Manual for legal options.

Activate SQL*Net trace on the client side to see the statement.

I remember seeing this once before, the problem is with a logon trigger that doesn't work in 11g. Look at the source code for any Discoverer related logon triggers, and it should (you can hope!) be obvious.

I searched for any triggrs on the administrator user of the discoverer and didnot found any trigger

Search in database for any logon trigger; you have to ask to your DBA if you are not one.
